Tonight you planted thoughts in my head as thoughtfully as you would plant a fruitful tree. Only I don’t like the kind of fruit tree that you planted. I’m not even sure you used the right type of dirt. The pot is the wrong color to match my mental decor and there’s not a lot of water leftover for it to drink either. Please uproot these thoughts and plant them in some other forest. I wouldn’t want to upset the native species that have been bouncing arrogantly and playfully inside there for years. That’s my forest and you’re introducing something that I don’t like. My committee of consultants sees this as a breech of contract. This isn’t supposed to happen! So pull it up right now and take it somewhere else. You can not cross that line! We agreed that you would not cause this stir. But you are. And you must stop.

Darling: if you’re wondering if this was about you, the answer is “It is.”
