A passionate weekend, never forgettable except through the ends of anything other than time itself, ultimately ended with her quietly saying, "I’ll leave a light on." Finding interest in the dark where no one, not even I, thought to look is often the most rewarding feeling, one that I’ve not found in the longest string of consecutive days. I find that finding yourself through other people is something that always finds you by surprise. A pleasant little present, this little gift wrapped in the brightest of color adorning complimentary ribbon, placed at the foot of your doorstep with a tiny note scribed on paper so delicately thin that it will never be read because you already know what it says.
